What is a Drug to Drug Interaction Evaluation?
The Drug to Drug Interaction Evaluation is a professional comprehensive service intended to take a closer look at what over the counter and prescription drugs are being used, and what their potential interaction risks are with each other individually.
A complete look inside the prescription, exercise and diet activity is necessary, that includes any symptoms already experienced and what was prescribed or done to counteract those symptoms.
After receiving the questionnaire I begin my research into the drugs mentioned, and using the symptom, diet and exercise information provided, I compose a detailed report explaining what each drug invidivually is prescribed for, how it works in the body, its specific side effects and compounded side effects when combined with other drugs.
This report is an excellent starting point for people just beginning to realize that maybe their health isn't as much dependant on drugs as it is on wise decisions. Use the content of the evaluation report to begin the dialog with your doctor to see which drugs can go first and how to go about it. Using your doctor's training and having the research in hand puts you far ahead of the curve in regards to freeing yourself from poor health brought on by prescription drug usage.
The fee for this service is $495.00 and can take anywhere from two to eight weeks to complete, depending on the current demand and the amount of research needed to complete the profile. All correspondence is kept extremely private and is not shared with anyone without express written permission.
After performing a handful of these evaluations, I have noticed how necessary it is to take the time and carefully investigate each drug and subsequently each drugs interaction alongside each drug individually. This takes a large amount of time to perform and can sometimes get tricky when reporting the results. While I can't feasibly help everyone get off of the drugs they shouldn't be on in the first place, I hope that by starting the ball rolling with good intention is a start. Maybe more pharmacists who really understand drug interactions will follow my lead and start offering their own time to help people kick the Rx Pad Habit.
