Solve for x
x=(BV * E%)/(B% - E%)
x is the amount of concentrated solution to be ADDED
BV is the Beginning Volume of the Diluent
E% is the concentration of the final solution
B% is the concentration of the beginning solution
Example: How much 5% solution should you add to 20ml
of water to end up with a 0.5% solution?
Therefore, add 2.22ml of 5% solution to 20ml of
water to end up with 22.22ml of 0.5% solution.
