The rumor mill has been active lately about Armour Thyroid. Some pharmacists have actually been telling their customers that the manufactuirer, Forest Labs, has discontinued the product. This is NOT TRUE.
Forest has been contacted and they report that there are backorders on some strengths and bottle sizes. However, they have NOT discontinued any of the Armour Thyroid strengths.
There is a notice on the Armour Thyroid website (http://www.armourthyroid.com/) telling us that this is because there is a "...process change in manufacturinhg." I do not know what this means, exactly, but it is reassuring us all that Armour Thyroid will continue to be available.
Forest suggests that if you or your pharmacist have difficulties you can call 1-800-678-1605.
