We understand that each patient has special needs, and unique likes and dislikes. That is why we provide our customized medications. We want to make it easy for everyone – children, adults, and even animals – to take needed medications as directed. Sometimes, the way a medicine tastes can seriously interfere with the dosing schedule. Ask us about our flavoring choices and our re-flavoring service. Just because it starts out bad doesn’t mean we can’t fix the problem with a little flavor magic.

Giving medication to children does not have to be a constant battle. Let your child choose from one of our 150 different flavors (watermelon, root beer, grape, raspberry, etc.). Working together with your doctor, we can even change the dosage form – from a liquid to a "gummy square," lollipop, freezer pop or lozenge!

As we age or develop a chronic illness, we often experience changes in our taste preferences. Sweetness may no longer be tolerable. Coffee or bitter flavors – or perhaps no flavor at all – may be more pleasing. We compound flavored dosage forms that make it easier to take medication while at school or traveling – such as chewable troches or lozenges that will not require refrigeration!

Some pets accept their medicine better when it suits their tastes too. What about a tuna flavored product for a cat – or even our ocean fish combo?  Dogs will usually eat almost anything, but there are a few who turn up their nose when its time for a dose of medicine. We offer liver, beef, chicken – and more. If liquids are a problem ask about having your pet’s medicine made into a flavored chewy treat.

Flavoring is predominantly an art and one person’s preference is truly individual. Added to this artistic element is the science a compounder needs to be able to make the correct flavor choices while still respecting the chemical characteristics of the medicine that is being flavored.
